The Family of Healers
Apprenticeship or Internship Programs with Norma Jean Young
Reiki Master Practitioner-Teacher, Integrationist, Counselor

True to the Eastern tradition, Reiki has been practiced and taught as a direct and oral tradition, learned in the actual experience of doing Reiki, with the tutelage of an experienced Reiki Master -- hence, the term, Apprentice. An Intern is one who practices their skill under worthy supervision.
These programs have many possibilities, considering the following:

I. Expertise and Focus:
Each person has their work to do and particular focus which they choose to impact on this earth. Customized programs are developed for each Apprentice or Intern discovering and maximizing and nurturing that Purpose. This might take the form of a personal Project: giving Reiki to Children's Hospital babies, volunteering for Hospice, offering Reiki treatment and organizing training for at risk youth, caring for an Elder family member, taking Reiki into Educational settings, forming a Reiki Pain Clinic in Costa Rica, etc, etc. The possibilities for healing applications are limitless.

Value Statement
I love mentoring. I am committed to furthering physical and cultural healing in the human family. I am committed to seeing that there are capable, substantial Reiki Masters on this earth.

I hold my apprentices' training as my legacy in body that I leave on this earth.
The process is one of True-ing:
discovering who you are as a healer and servant-leader,
how to support you to be the best you can be,
and how best to serve in your Reiki Mastery.

I hold each Apprentice through my life.
I cannot even divorce you.
You are indeed part of my family of healers.
