About Norma Jean Young Norma Jean has pioneered Reiki Healing as a clinician for 21 years and as an Instructor for 16 years. She has taught Reiki healing in 14 countries and served many Original Peoples including the Maori of New Zealand and the Inuit of Greenland. She has taught a course in subtle energy for medical professionals at Harvard University, and is currently engaged as a Reiki practitioner for two National Institute of Health grant projects. Norma Jean Young is an integrationist and an innovator. She has served in the role of nurse, medical social worker, Waldorf teacher, Music Therapist, consciousness trainer (Africa Institute) and Reiki Practitioner/Instructor. Her eye has always been on how to integrate the family of humankind, functionally. This clear and consistent dedication has taken this veteran Reiki practitioner -- and now veteran Reiki Master of 20 years -- to teach in 14 countries, present Grand Rounds at Massachusetts General Hospital, teach at the University of Tennessee at Memphis School of Nursing, consult for Planetree Hospitals, and to be a Guest Lecturer for the Japanese Holistic Medical Society. Through the practitioner's hands, Reiki treatment brings a large river of life force into you supporting whatever physical, emotional or spiritual deficit you may be experiencing. Norma Jean places her hands on the area of your body that needs support, giving reliable centering and balancing treatment.
